South Auckland raised now calling Christchurch his second home, New Zealand Artist Pody Cameron has been gracing the underground hip hop scene from as early as 2010. Formed from a love of English and poetry,
From a young age Pody used music as an outlet for his early life experiences. His deep connection to Hip hop & RnB was passed down from his older brother. When given an opportunity to record his own music at the age of 16, Pody discovered his passion for digital recording.
In 2014 he unofficially released his first body of work Microphone Dreams Mixtape which was well received in the underground hip hop circuit. Since then he’s recorded a number of songs including features, Has been recognised amongst some of NZ's most promising artists, Selected as a finalist for various national hip hop competitions and continues to show his undeniable vocal diversity through his music.
His unique ability to combine hard hitting hip hop verses with smooth singing vocals, Pody effortlessly drifts between his musical styles of choice. Whether hip hop, RnB or both. Pody’s execution has made him a favored artist with a loyal following.
Outside of music Pody prides himself on being an active father, An aspiring builder (currently 2nd year building apprentice) and spoken word poetry enthusiast. Pody looks forward to a prosperous year ahead with Benchmark Entertainment. Releasing music and visuals, doing live performances and growing as an artist within the local and wider hip hop community.
